An Post-Sean Kelly’s British rider Mark Christian leads the breakaway on stage 1
An Post-Sean Kelly’s Peter Ghyllebert rescued what was a mediocre performance for the team at the Boucles de la Mayenne (UCI 2.2) four-day in France, when he took eight on the final stage on Sunday.
Ireland’s sole representative in the race, Sam Bennett started very well when he took a fine 10th place in the prologue TT last Thursday. But that was as good as it got for the young Irishman as he lost time on the following two road stages and then did not start the final stage on Sunday.
