Video: The most epic (ill tempered) bike throw in history. Period

This rider had an absolute meltdown on the finish line of the Red Hook Criterium after a crash. He picked up his bike and slammed it down so hard it broke clean in two.

The Red Hook Criterium series is perhaps one of the world’s craziest events; cyclists competing in a flat-out criterium on a street course on track bikes.

That’s right, they have no brakes and they ride fixed wheels. In a criterium. On actual streets.

So if you come hurtling around a corner and there’s a crash right in front of you, chances are you’ll have no option but to pile right into it.

The ingredients are fairly crazy and it has made for some very scary crashes. Yesterday, Saturday, the Red Hook Criterium ran its latest race - this time in Milan.

He really went bonkers, and that bike won't be back in the peloton any time soon.

And one of the riders had the most epic hissy fit at the end, see the first video below.

Jeremy Santucci had come down in a crash earlier in the race (second clip below) and appears to have injured his back.

His bike was still intact after the spill but wasn’t rideable.

So he walked back to the finish area and when he got there the red mist descended and he furiously slammed his bike off the road, breaking it in two.

It's the most epic bike throw we've ever seen, and that's saying something.

Santucci, who works as a model, posted the clip of the earlier crash in an effort to explain why he was so angry.

“When your heart rate is above 190 and you train all year for finals and get crashed out; there are a lot of feelings running through you,” he said. That explains it so!

This is some whopper...
