
The rider who had a meltdown, above, and threw his bike to the ground so hard it broke in two was actually riding a borrowed bike.
Yesterday we brought you the sorry little story of model and cyclists Jeremy Santucci who picked up his bike in a rage at the Red Hook Criterium and smashed it on the road in a rage.
His little tantrum broke the bike in half and completely wrote it off.
It now turns out he had been loaned the bike by a buddy after his own one was out of commission - it as he says "my Mad Max is undergoing a facelift".
"He's like family so he was good enough to loan me this beautiful machine," he explains of his "homie" who gave him the bike to race on.
Ouch!!
