This fan got a rude awakening at the World Championships when cops took him clean off his feet as he ran after Tony Martin.

The spectator managed to get in between the TV moto and Martin as the German rode up the final climb of the TT in Bergen today.

But two cops popped out of the crowd and combined in a move to take the running fan out of circulation.
The incident occurred on the 3.4km climb of Mount Fløyen to the finish. Martin went on to take 9th.
He relinquished his world title in Tom Dumoulin (Netherlands), with Ireland’s Nicolas Roche taking 12th on the day.
