Lucy O'Donnell (Velo Performance) has topped the female junior standings in the end of year Cycling Ireland rankings for 2020.

O'Donnell, who has already represented Ireland at both the cyclocross and road Worlds, was best of the 30 female junior riders who raced this year, 11 of whom scored points.

As the female juniors race against male juniors, and A3 riders, Cycling Ireland compiles the junior rankings by combining the female and male riders, with Dean Harvey (VC Glendale) coming out on top in those combined rankings this year.

Stickybottle has taken all of the female juniors from those combined rankings and compiled a standalone female junior rankings for the year - listed below.

Lucy O'Donnell topped the rankings on 11 points from a trio of riders all on six points; Caoimhe May (Orwell Wheelers), Ella Doherty (Greenmount CA) and Ciara Kelly (North Pole CC).

Next in the rankings, in 5th and 6th, were two riders who both scored five points this season; Eva Brennan (Deenside Wheelers) and Caoimhe O'Brien (Weston Homes-Torelli-Assure).

Lead rider O'Donnell, who just turned 18 years old last week, was 4th in the junior road race and 3rd in the junior TT at the National Road Championships in Limerick this year, promoted by Newcastle West Cycling Club.

Caoimhe May won the TT crown at the National Road Championships while Ella Doherty won the road race title and Ciara Kelly was 5th in the road race and 6th in the TT.
