Dean Harvey has emerged as the top-ranked junior cyclist in Ireland in 2020 of some 182 riders - male and female - who pinned on a number and raced this year.
Of that total number of riders who took to a start line at least once in 2020, there were 46 who scored ranking points - all of whom are listed below.
Harvey (VC Glendale) has topped the Cycling Ireland junior rankings with a total of 58 points. Jordan Luke of Newcastle West CC was next; finishing in 2nd place on 35 points.
Matthew Devins (Team Fundacion Lintxu) was 3rd in the junior rankings on 34 points followed by Odhran Doogan (Caldwell Cycles) in 4th on 32 points. Irish junior road race champion Ronan O'Connor (Orwell Wheelers) is in 5th place on 30 points.

Dean Harvey claimed victories this year in the Nutts Corner Series and at the Stagg Cycles Lucan GP. He was also 2nd in the Collins Christle Memorial and another round of the Nutts Corner Series before finishing in 7th place in the junior road race at the National Road Championships.
Harvey beefed up his total by placing in the top five in several A1 races, including the Eddie Crory Memorial (4th), the Mount Nugent GP (4th).
Jordan Luke took victory at the Knockaderry Road Race in Co Limerick before placing 5th in the nationals
on the same course a little later in the season. He was 2nd in Rás Cill
Mocheallog and placed 3rd in the Sliabh Luachra Clasaicí.
Matthew Devins scored points for 4th in the nationals road race, 2nd in the nationals TT and victory in the Seamus Kennedy Memorial. He also placed 5th in the Connacht road race championships, against A1 riders.
The junior rankings are compiled male and female combined. Lucy O'Donnell (Velo Performance) was the top female junior this year, which we have covered in a separate story.
