First photos of Irish team training on Doha World Champs course

The Irish have arrived in Doha for the World Road Championships and yesterday they took time to training on the course.

Those riding the TTs got to grips with the parcours and they'll get into action just as soon as the men's and women's trade team time trials are completed today, Sunday.

Nicolas Roche is the only Irish rider in action in the team tests; riding for Team Sky.

Top cycling photographer Sean Rowe is in Doha and brings us these shots!

Turvey and British Olympian and ex pro Neil Martin; he's in Doha as a manager of the Irish team. Unfortunately this year's course does not suit son Dan Martin. Instead it's Ryan Mullen and Matt Brammeier who will help Sam Bennett; and no better men!

Nicolas Roche is in the kit of Team Sky, with his national TT champs twist; he was out training for the team time trial which he rides with his trade team.

Xeno Young; he's done really well against the watch this season and it should be really good to see how he does at these Worlds. He got into the bronze medal ride-off in the individual pursuit at the European Championships in June when he finished 4th.

Roche will ride both the TTT with Team Sky and he will also ride the elite men's TT for Ireland.

If the Team Sky lads could take a podium place, it would be a fantastic reward for Roche's work at Team Sky over the last two seasons before he goes to BMC - the defending champions at in the TTT in Doha.

It looks hot!
