The detail in this 41-mile Strava art depicting Santa is fantastic. It sets a very high standard for anyone else looking to make their mark.
A cyclist in Britain has laid down a marker for all-comers over the festive season who fancy getting all Chritsmassy on Strava.
Users of the app have frequently come up with Strava art; pictures drawn over their home towns and cities with their ride routes.
And Christmas has traditionally been the time when Strava artists have really gone for broke.
A couple of years ago two university students drew a 62km snowman in Dublin. Simon Jones and Adam O’Reilly planned out their route and executed it really well, as you can see here.
Just over two years ago one unfortunate Irish rider accidentally (she swears) drew a rather large penis with her route on Strava.
This time around though Anthony Hoyte has significantly upped the game. His 41 mile ride in the shape of Santa is superbly detailed.
He spent lots of time in the tight city streets of Birmingham getting the facial details right. Hoyte then focussed on the outline, which was less intricate and easier to do.
Still, a piece with this level of work took dedication, a real eye for detail and, without question, plenty of planning.
He wasn't too pushed about breaking any Strava records in the process.
His 'Ho Ho Ho' 41 mile ride took him just over 4½ hours in moving time. His average speed was a very modest 8.9 miles per hour.
But the end result, all 41 miles of Santa, is the gold standard any other Strava artists must strive for between now and the big day in two weeks time.
This is definitely one of the very best efforts we've seen. Hoyte honed his touch with previous Strava artworks featuring a snowman, among other pieces.
When study for upcoming Christmas exams became too much for two UCD fresher students, they combined ingenuity with training to design this festive masterpiece in 2015.
