Just a week after running a training weekend, aiding by Cycling Ireland participation, for junior riders, Cycling Leinster is going again with another opportunity for juniors and U23s.

The provincial body has been very active fielding teams in races at home and abroad in recent seasons. And the upcoming training weekend would be an ideal opportunity for riders to familiarise themselves with the Leinster set-up and personnel.

There were also be experienced former international riders on hand to pass on their coaching and nutrition expertise.

They include former track and road international and national TT championships winner, Eileen Burns, as well as Stephen Delaney, a former international rider who won Rás Tailteann and is now an endurance sports coach.

Cycling Leinster said the week - three weeks from now - would be an ideal chance to get in two long training riders, departing on November 16th and 17th from Dublin to the Midlands.

The weekend is described as "back-to-Back days of solid road spins in a group setting, with ride-leaders and support vehicles" that will be "perfect for building that winter endurance".

The routes, cost, accommodation and all other details will be confirmed at a later point to each rider who applies to go on the weekend. If you have any questions outside the application form, please contact [email protected].
