Having ridden to world championships level for Ireland on road and track, Josie Knight has switched her allegiance to Britain.
And she will ride as a guest with British Cycling's Team Breeze line-up at the UCI World Cup in London this weekend.
The 21-year-old, whose family is from Britain, grew up in Dingle, Co Kerry. A former O'Leary Stone Kanturk club member, she burst onto the international scene in 2014.
As a first-year junior rider she won silver in the individual pursuit at the European Track Championships in Portugal.
She has since ridden for the WNT trade team based in Britain, where she was a team mate of three-time Irish road race champion Lydia Boylan.
This weekend in London Knight will be a guest of Team Breeze. The squad was established by British Cycling in 2016.
It features British Cycling Academy riders; those who are being developed to break into the Team GB set-up.
Knight will guest in a Team Breeze endurance line-up this weekend that includes senior British Cycling academy riders.
They are Anna Docherty, Jenny Holl, Rebecca Raybould and Jess Roberts.
The Team GB endurance line-up for the same World Cup racing includes Olympic champions Katie Archibald and Elinor Barker along with Meg Barker, Ellie Dickinson and Neah Evans.
Cycling Ireland is yet to name its team for London. However, the talent transfer riders will compete in the team pursuit against the Team GB and Team Breeze selections.
The Irish women got to within 1.6 seconds of the Irish record last time out; at the third World Cup of the season the weekend before last in Berlin.
