Currently in the middle of his Leaving Certificate, Daire Feeley of iTap took a break from the books to ride the Mooney Cup criterium in Sligo last night.

And the Roscommon man made the trip count by coming home solo for the win, his first of the season.

Feeley, a permanent presence in the Irish junior set-up last year, will now look to the races remaining over the summer in an effort to progress towards the U23 national team.

Last night he finished ahead of former national junior road race champion Liam Corcoran (Castlebar CC), with local man Paul Dunne of the Fitscience team rounding out the podium.
