Leading cyclocross pro Shirin van Anrooij has had her bike stolen at the Benidorm course for tomorrow's World Cup race. The Dutch 20-year-old went to the course today for a recon rider ahead of tomorrow's round at the UCI Cyclocross World Cup but while at the venue her bike was stolen.

Van Anrooij, who has won seven UCI-ranked cyclocross races this season including three rounds of the World Cup, took to social media to break the news the bike had been stolen and to launch a public appeal for information.

"Today my bike was stolen from the parking lot at the Benidorm World Cup," she said. "Please let me know if you saw it or you know something."

Van Anrooij rides for the Baloise Trek Lions cyclocross team and is also a member of the Trek-Segafredo World Tour team on the road, winning the European U23 road race and TT titles last season. She also won the young rider classification at Tour de France Femmes last year.
