Watch Healy Vs Rubio barging in battle for Giro KOM points | Video

Ben Healy and stage 13 winner Einer Rubio have been engaged in a real battle for KOM points today in the breakaway at Giro d'Italia

Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost) has been up the road again at Giro d'Italia and this time he's been targeting the KOM points, clearly intent on going after that jersey.

While the Irishman has been scoring maximum points, he has been challenged by stage 13 winner Einer Augusto Rubio (Movistar Team), who has a reputation for getting into scrapes with other riders.

However, Healy hasn't allowed himself to be bullied by the Colombian. Rubio tried to shoulder barge the Irish rider several times in the sprint for points at the top of Valico di Valcava, with just over 46km of the stage covered.

However, Healy gave as good as he got - and some. He ultimately returned the shoulder barges before getting the better of Rubio and taking a maximum 40 points, with the Colombian taking 18 points for 2nd place. Healy has since also taken maximum points on the Selvino and is now up to 4th in the climbers' classification.
