The opening stage victory of this year's Rás in to Longford town goes to Denmark's Nicolai Nielsen (Denmark Riwal Platform).

The Dane pipped a lead breakaway of three riders to the line which included An Post's Przemyslaw Kasperkiewicz, Thómas Rostollon (France Armée de Terre) and Dennis Bakker (Netherlands Delta Cycling).
