That'll do: Sam Bennett bridges the generations in Irish cycling with a fantastic stage victory at the Giro d'Italia today. He was too good in the bunch sprint to the line.

Having been the bridesmaid twice at this Giro but not the bride, Sam Bennett stepped up today for a big win.
He saw off Elia Viviani, the man who has already won two stages on this race and leads the points classification.
While Viviani of QuickStep had come off Bennett's wheel for both of his wins, the Irish rider turned the tables today.
He timed his effort to perfection, as he has done so many times in the past. And as the finish line was reached he threw his bike over that line before punching the air in celebration.
While Bennett has won five WorldTour races in his career, all of them last year, this is by far his biggest win.
It will also ensure he becomes a household name in his native Ireland. Only wins in the Grand Tour register with the mainstream media and the public.
Sam Bennett had come to this Giro with the sole purpose of winning a stage. And by converting his chance today he has justified Bora-hansgrohe's backing of him at this race.
And he has already shown decent climbing legs in recent days. That means should be in the mix later in the race on some stages that are simply too hard for the other sprinters, as well as the straight sprint days.
For now, though, have a look at this and enjoy....
