Video: Rider dives into massive mud pool at Dublin cyclocross

This rider got so muddy at the cyclocross in Dublin he decided to jump into a huge mud pool at a flooded section of the course, with these inevitable results (Photo with thanks to Expert Cycles)

The cyclocross racing around the country can get pretty muddy at this time of year and the events this weekend were no different.

In the video below, one rider decides to get the pain of getting filthy and soaked all done in one go by jumping into a massive muddy pool of water on one section of the course in Tymon Park, west Dublin.

Dan Brickenden of Expert Cycles not only dived into the massive pool of water on this flooded section of the course, but also had a bit of splash around.

God only knows what the rider coming after him must have thought when he say Brickenden having his unconventional bath.

And while it was a bloody cold day for racing, Brickenden seemed to keep his sense of humour post-bath, as some of the photos reveal.

It seems it's true what they say; you really do have to be a bit nuts to be a cyclocross rider.
