Video: Missed Dan Martin's win in Beijing? Here it is for you

You can watch Dan Martin's fantastic stage win at the Tour of Beijing by clicking on the clip below. The footage takes up the racing as the field starts the 12km climb to the summit finish.

Martin's Garmin-Sharp team mate Ryder Hesjedal put in a really strong attack around halfway up the ascent.

He built a lead close to 20 seconds at one point thought chasing from Team Sky and the BMC squad of race leader Philippe Gilbert meant the lanky Canadian was not allowed to ride away with it.

After being pegged back well inside the last 5km, counter attacks from the other major teams in the race saw him finally recaptured.

Martin had remained in the select group the whole way up the climb as the others scattered after his team mate, and just after Hesjedal had been caught Martin let fly with the stage-winning attack.

He made his move well inside the final kilometre and after Gilbert's team mate Samuel Sanchez had ridden on the front of the group to deter attacks.

That tactic worked, because while Martin accelerated for the stage, he ran out of road in his bid to put enough time into Gilbert to take the race lead from him going into tomorrow's stage.

Gilbert now leads by just three seconds from Martin and looks set for outright victory to just the final flat stage to come.

Perhaps not the happiest looking race winner in the world, Martin said he was happy with his stage win and 2nd overall but his facial expression suggests frustration at missing out on the leader's jersey.

Gilbert rode a very good finale, battling really hard when Martin took flight. He came home in 3rd place just two seconds back and also took a time bonus; enough to see his 11 second lead this morning held at a three second advantage after today's queen stage.
