Former Team Sky rider Joshua Edmondson leads Olympic bronze medal winner and former world track champion Aaron Gate.
After the Kiwi in line is stage eventual winner Aidis Kruopis, who has ridden a couple of seasons with WorldTour team Orica-GreenEDGE.
He is followed by Conor Dunne, the rangy Irish international, former stage winner and yellow jersey on the Rás and former U23 time trial champion.
The only man from the team not working on the front is their general classification contender Ryan Mullen; now 4th overall after today and also leading the U23 classification.
He won silver in the U23 time trial at the World Championships last year, won silver in the junior Europeans TT four years ago, two bronze medals on the track at the Europeans and is one of the fastest men ever over a 10 mile TT.
Towards the back of the group are, among other county men; Robin Kelly of the Mayo Coleman Electronics team and David Watson of Down North Graham Powerhouse.
Kelly, who has really trimmed down in recent months, runs his own bike shop in Waterford.
And Watson lives in Northern Ireland but commutes every week to Scotland for work.
They are all Men of the Rás; all writing their own chapters of this unique race.
