Just one day into the An Post Rás and massive gaps have already appeared in the field.
While many Irish riders fancied the flatter route this year, the breeze was the decisive factor today on the road between Dunboyne and Carlow.
And if it blows as strongly in coming days, as forecast, this could be a very exciting race.
