The heavens opened and when the road kicked up in the finale the gaps emerged

It was all change at the top after stage 2 of Rás na mBan with Lieke van Zeelst, a Dutch woman riding this week for Irish club Greenmount Cycling Academy, taking a solo win after attacking 18km from the finish and making it all the way.

She took the race lead from Team Ireland's Lara Gillespie, who had won the opening stage into Callan on Wednesday evening.
