With a stage win, a third place, the yellow jersey and a spectacular crash for one of its leaders; it was all about Team Sky on the opening day of Critérium du Dauphiné.

Team Sky saw one of its leaders, Geraint Thomas, fall off in a nasty incident in the opening TT in France today.
But such is the strength in depth in the team that it still won the stage. Michal Kwiatkowski claimed victory and the race lead.
And its young, and at times controversial, Italian Gianni Moscon claimed 3rd place.
The team line-up for the coming week and the result today throws up a welcome problem for Team Sky. It must decide whether today's winner or crash victim is team leader.
Kwiatkowski more or less side-stepped that question in his post-stage interview. He said the high mountains - of which there are many on this race - would look after the team leadership issue.

Thomas will remember of course that he looked to be in a great position to win Tirreno-Adriatico back in March only for Kwiatkowski to take it.
Thomas was in the race leader's jersey when he suffered a mechanical with about 1km to go on the uphill stage 5 finish.
He was stranded by the roadside without help for a period. Chris Froome had been dropped and would catch Thomas and try to help him.
But the Welsh rider slipped to 5th overall. And his Polish team mate assumed race leadership. He held the jersey for the next two days to win overall.
It should be interesting to see how the situation within the team pans out during this race.
