When the An Post Rás is done and dusted tomorrow evening we will look back on one of the most brilliant editions of the race in recent times.
Day after day the riders served up some exceptional racing with the various jerseys changing hands on countless occasions.
Today, for the first time all week, we were treated to a memorable 1-2 by two riders who have really lit up the race in Daan Meijers and his Delta Cycling teammate Jan-Willem Van Schip.

The above photo shows the moment they crossed the line today while it also illustrates how rough the day was in general.
It was a typical Irish day weather-wise and the racing was no less intense than any of the previous six stages.
