Updated Results Masters National Road Race Championships 2025

Emyvale Cycling Club put on a fantastic Masters National Road Championships weekend. And though there were teething problems with Cycling Ireland's new categories, they've been quickly resolved (Photo: Toby Watson)

At the end of last weekend's Masters National Road Championships there was a mix-up with the medal presentation for some of the road race events. A number of riders were presented with medals in two age categories rather than one.

For example, Masters 40 riders received medals for both the Masters 40 and Masters 45, even though they were eligible for only one of those categories. The mix-up was effectively a teething problem - which can, and does, happen - in what was the first time five-year age bands were used for the title races.

The good news, however, is that Emyvale Cycling Club rather a fantastic championship weekend, with TTs and road races, and also that the medal mix-up has been resolved and the correct results published.

Obviously some of the riders who were presented with two medals will now only have one. But those medals are being re-allocated to the rightful owners, thus increasing the number of riders who won medals.
