Having already taken three strong wins in the last month - Beechmount Cup, Ulster Road Race Championships and Emyvale GP - Gareth O'Neill has continued his late season run with another provincial title.

The Performance PB man has claimed victory in the Ulster Hill Climb Championships, promoted by Roe Valley Cycling Club on Benbradagh Mountain in Dungiven, a 2:06km ramp with an average gradient of 12.9 per cent.

He took a clear victory, in a time of 9:10, which was 16 seconds faster than silver medal winner, Stuart Miller (Ards CC), with Stuart McCaughey (Phoenix CC) in 3rd place, some 23 seconds down on the winner.

Nathan Mullan (Velo Café Magasin) was 4th, in 10:06, but because McCaughey is a Masters 40 riders, he took the Masters 40 gold and the senior bronze medal went to Mullan.
