Lindsay Watson wins Thomas White Memorial TT
Having won a series of road races this year already Lindsay Watson was best against the clock in the Thomas White Memorial TT today.
The Powerhouse Sport rider recorded a time of 20 minutes and 27 seconds. That was just three seconds faster than Neil Delahaye of Fixx Rouleurs.
Sean Featherstone of Newry Wheelers was next; in a time of 21:08 on the Banbridge CC promoted event in Warrenpoint near Newry.
Karen Hull of Phoenix CC was best in the women's category; in a time of 25:32. The race doubled as the latest round of the Invacare Paracycling League.
Chris Burns of the promoting club was best of the solo paracyclists in a time of 25:08. Declan Slevin was fastest solo handcyclists; the Rosemount CC man stopping the clock at 26:43.
And the women's paracycling race was woman by Richael Timothy. The Donamon Dynamos rider did a 31:48.
The overall winner Watson has already won the East Tyrone GP this year as well as the JG Memorial and Madigan Cycles GP. He has also taken six 2nd places.
He is currently 2nd in the Cycling Ireland A1 rankings for the year; behind only Conor Hennebry of Viner-Caremark-Pactimo.
