Mark McGinley triumphs at Termon Wheelers GP

Four Masters rider Mark McGinley came out on top in the headline A3 race at the inaugural Termon Wheelers GP.

The race in Carrickmore was run off on the route previously used for the National TT Championships in 2015.

The A3 race saw a five-man breakaway go clear on the final lap at Seven Sisters.

It consisted of Michael Pryce (Team Cavan Racing), Oisin Doherty (Donegal Bay) Keith O’Donnell and Mark McGinley.

Nigel Connolly would also join the front five when he courageously bridged across despite a headwind.

It would be these six riders who would race to the line. And McGinley prevailed, narrowly edging out Doherty.

Adrian Daly from Armagh City won the A4 event. But it was also for a good day for home club rider Barry Mullin, who finished second.

That result means that Mullin will now move up to A3 racing.
