Stephen Halpin claims victory from Joe Fenlon at inaugural 'Séamus Kennedy Memorial'

Stephen Halpin (above) has taken his third win of the season at the inaugural 'Séamus Kennedy Memorial' in Dunboyne, Co Meath, this afternoon.

The Polygon Sweet Nice rider got clear in a breakaway with a number of others, including team mate Ryan Sherlock.

Sherlock covered a number of attacks from the breakaway. And while he punctured with 1km remaining and so left Halpin to fend for himself in the finishing sprint, he had enough in the tank to take the victory from Joe Fenlon (Aquablue) in second and Conor Murphy (Eurocycles) in third.
