The Cycling Ireland National Road Series - for men and women - concludes tomorrow with the Alan Towell Memorial, organised by Banbridge CC, in Dromore, Co Down. The club is promoting the men's and women's final rounds of the series along with a support event for A3-A4 riders, all starting from 12 noon

A total of 100 riders have pre-entered across the three events, which will fiercely contested on the 30km circuit, which includes the climbs of Ballykeel Hill, Kinallen and Ballykeel along with a new finish location, in Kinallen village.

The two main events will be crucial in deciding the final standings for this year given how close it is at the top of the senior and junior classifications. Conn McDunphy (Lucan CRC) leads the senior men's series on 140 points, some 20 points up on Daire Feeley (All human-VeloRevolution). Then comes the UCD Cycling Club duo of Jason Kenny and Liam Crowley, on 79 and 75 points respectively.

In the women's series, Jemma Speers of North Down CC leads the way, with 136 points, though Caoimhe O'Brien (Belco Van Eyck) is just behind, with 120 points. And breathing down O'Brien's neck is Jennifer Neenan (UCD Cycling Club) and Aoife O'Brien (Spellman Dublin Port) on 118 and 117 points respectively.

In the junior men's rankings, Killian O'Brien (Orwell Wheelers) is the only one of the four series leaders to have already wrapped up overall victory before the final round. He has 66 points and is way ahead of 2nd placed Willem O'Connor (JEGG-DJR Academy) on 22 points. Liam O'Brien (Fermoy CC) and Cal Tutty (Dungarvan CC) are next, both on 20 points.

Hannah Hayes (TC Racing) leads the junior women's series on 48 points, some 15 points up on Shauna Finn (Arcane CT) with Aine Doherty (VC Glendale) in 3rd at 23 points. Tomorrow, the main men's race, for seniors and juniors, will take the riders on four laps of the circuit while the combined senior and junior women's event will be three laps, as will the handicapper A3-A4 race.
