Seth Dunwoody's dream season has continued in some style today with a big win at the UCI Nations Cup race for juniors of Czechia; the teenager taking the victory in the afternoon road stage after a very strong performance in the morning TT.
And that win today, which comes after victory in E3 Saxo Classic (1.1) in Belgium last week was delivered after some very strong team work by his Team Ireland team mates, Cal Tutty, David Gaffney, Joseph Mullen and Patrick Casey.
After 61.4km of racing from Roudnice to Štětí this afternoon, over flat terrain, Dunwoody was best in a very long sprint to the line, overpowering his rivals to win it well.
Dunwoody, a second-year junior competing this season with the Cannibal B Victorious trade team, took the verdict from Belgian national TT champion Aldo Taillieu and Anton Louw Larsen of Denmark.
That victory was made all the more sweet at the fact it was Larsen to denied Dunwoody two wins last weekend when they arrived together at the finish line of Fokker Slag om Woensdrecht in the Netherlands only for the Dane to beat the Irishman in the final gallop to the line.
The race lead Course de la Paix Juniors (2.Ncup) - the Junior Peace Race - in Czechia was maintained today by world junior road race champion, and this morning's TT winner, Albert Philipsen of Denmark.
More to come.
