Here's a great set of photos from the Rás Naomh Finian in Clonard yesterday, Saturday.
These photos were taken by Amy Norah Farrell, who shot all of the races on the day.
These shots, or any of other images among the large set Amy took on the day are, available to purchase from her.

The winner of some great races last year, U23 international Javan Nulty (DID Dunboyne) takes the A1-A2 main event from Robin Kelly of Aquablue.

UCD CC's Anthony Walsh has two 2nd places to his name already this season and was 3rd yesterday, with team mate and very promising up and coming rider Sean McKenna just behind in 4th.

The sprint for 5th place is taken by Joe Fenlon (Aquablue) from Elijus Civilis (Top Team) and Galway Bay CC strong man Derek Joyce.

Stephen Halpin, riding this year with Bikeworx, was just outside the pots in the A1-A2 race in Clonard.

Colm Laverty of Stamullen comes in at the head of a fragmented field just behind those who mopped up the prizes.

Stephen Byrne, Zippy Doyle and Noel Thompson cross the line; out of the finish action for the day but they'll be back.

The escape group in the A3 race that was to prove the winning of what was a fast and aggressive outting. Daire Feeley (Donamon Dynamos) seen here leading eventual winner Ciaran Kelly (Bikeworx).

Behind the breakaway, there were plenty of efforts made to pull chase groups clear to get on terms with the leaders....

.... but despite the efforts of many good riders, those up front were committed to the task and strong with it.

Eoin Lynch leads the chase in the head of the peloton which included Johnny Holland Val Gargan and John Ennis.

The bunch in the A3 race was a big one, with the popularity of the sport in recent years having seen a huge level of interest in racing in the early season.

When you see a big bunch strung out, you know the hammer is down in pursuit of the leaders.

More A3s in the big group that would never see four of the escapees again on the day.

This bunch just kept going and going....

.... and going....

... and going.

Finally, the rear of the A3 field. If you are back here its a long way to the head of the peloton never mind the escape.

In the sprint for victory, big Ciaran Kelly went for it and sneaks a cheeky look to see how everyone else is getting on.

That'll do nicely; Kelly tentatively gets one lamha (lamh - Ed) suas but is pressed hard by second-placed Feeley not to mention the ever strong, competitive and streetwise veteran Sean Bracken in 3rd. Phil O'Flaherty of Swords has settled for 4th just off the back of the trio.

Kelly pressed it all the way and took the win; his second of the season after taking the Ned Flanagan three weeks back.

Ken Tobin and John O'Shea come home for 5th and 6th respectively. One of the very best juniors in his day, Tobin was a top flight elite international even in his first year out of the juniors, taking a classic win that year. Injury halted his progress but he has returned to racing in the past 12 months. One to keep a very close eye on once he can stay injury free.

Nationa junior champion Fintan Ryan leads in the field for 7th place from veteran Llyod Scott in 8th.
