Sean McKenna has taken another victory to bring his season tally to 11, collected over the full span of the 2015 campaign from February to September.
The Team Aquablue man was best of a very strong group in the sprint to the line in the final round of the Bikeworx series on Mondello.
The race produced arguably the strongest top six across the line of any of the Bikeworx events this year.
Junior Dermot White took an excellent 2nd place on the night behind McKenna, with the Lucan CRC teenager among a group of young riders rapidly emerging from the Co Dublin club in recent seasons.
Behind him came some for the very best men on the domestic scene in the shape of national champion Damien Shaw (Team ASEA), fast man Anthony Doyle (VeloRevolution), track champion John Lynch (Kilcullen-Murphy Surveys) and international road man Mark Dowling (DID Dunboyne).
McKenna went early up the finishing straight to hold off the others in the 16-man escape group that formed at the end of the night as the strongest scratch me joined a group of limit men who had managed to stay away for almost the entire race.
