Sean Featherstone of Newry wins Breffni 10 TT
The Breffni to mile TT has been won by Newry Wheelers rider Sean Featherstone. He clocked a time of 21:08, for an average speed of 45.71 kilometres per hour.
It was a close run contest at the top; Donal Shearer of Phoenix CC just five seconds down in the runner-up spot.
And former IronMan champion Liam Dolan Cuchulainn showed his prowess against the watch by rounding out the podium.
Dolan was 13 seconds down on the flying Sean Featherstone, who set a new men's course record.
In the women’s race Jennifer Bates finished over 3 minutes ahead of the competition. Her time of 23:33 was an average of 41.02kph.

The Team Gerard DHL rider was seventh fastest of the combined male and female field.
The women’s course record remains with Eileen Burns from 2016, when she clocked 23:14.

Burns was not riding today as she is representing Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Aoibheann Bartley of Lakeland CC and Gillian Kinkade are next in the completed the podium.
The TT, in Butlersbridge, Co Cavan, is mainly flat; an out and back course with a hard shoulder to ride in and a roundabout turn.
As the surface is new for large sections of the road the test generally produces some fast times.
Today there was a field of 58 riders, from 24 clubs. They faced a slight tailwind on the way out.
The annual race, which was being run for the third time today, was also the first event that to count towards a new Cycling Ulster TT ranking system.
It is aimed at identifying the best all round time trial rider each season over the 10, 25, 50 and 100 mile distances.
Points will be award for placings in TTs rather than for times recorded.
