Caroline Ryan may be rebuilding her form in her efforts to qualify for the World Track Championships next February, but she showed the class that has made her Ireland’s best female track rider when taking 4th place in the omnium individual pursuit at the Glasgow World Cup today, Sunday.
Ryan had a below par first day of competition on Saturday, with 15th in the flying lap, 12th in the points race and 15th in the elimination race leaving her in 14th overall after three of the six events were complete.
However, she found her form again this morning when taking 4th in the individual pursuit in a time of 3:40.143. She was later 15th in both the scratch race and TT, leaving her 13th overall of the 17 finishers.

Ryan will now turn her attention to the next World Cup meeting in Mexico in January as her final big international outing before the World Championships in Minsk in February.
Having taken a bronze medal at the Worlds in Melbourne last April, she clearly has a lot more in her legs that she showed this weekend, though she stressed coming in to this weekend that she was in the middle of a form building exercise.
