Ryan Mullen has held his condition all the way to the end of the season and put in a fantastic ride in France today, Sunday.
Fresh from his excellent 7th place in the U23 World Time Trial Championships in Florence, Italy, last month, Ryan Mullen has put in another storming ride in France today, Sunday.
The first-year U23 IG Sigma Sport rider has won the U23 category in the season-ending Chrono des Nations Time Trial in Herbiers.
He went around the 43.35km course in a time of 53 mins 27 secs to claim the victory by a huge margin of 1:16 from Frenchman Bruno Armirail, the silver medallist in the U23 French national TT championships this year. In 3rd place today was another Frenchman Alexis Guerin, who rides with FDJ.fr pro team.

Mullen banged out an average speed of 48.662 kmph, more than 1kmph faster than the second placed man. Armirail averaged 47.536kmph and third placed Guerin clocked an average of 47.077kmph.
The elite men's TT was won by world champion against the clock Tony Martin (Omega Pharma-Quickstep) in an average speed of 48.331, albeit over a longer distance - of 57.03km - than the U23 race.
Gustav Erik Larsson (IAM Cycling) was 2nd and Sylvain Chavenel (Omega Pharma-Quickstep) 3rd. Hanna Solovey won the women's event.
