
Ryan Mullen has extended his incredible record at Ireland's National Road Championships today; re-taking the elite men's TT crown in Co Wicklow.
The Trek-Segafredo WorldTour pro was best over the 33.79km course from Brittas in Co Wickow, out the old road to Arklow and back again.
Mullen (27) recorded a time of 40:30, with an average speed of 50km per hour, claiming the title by 16 seconds from his nearest rival on the day.

Nicolas Roche (Team DSM) was the man who pushed Mullen closest but he had to be content with taking the silver medal today.
Marcus Christie (Performance SBR), who represented Ireland against the watch at the World Championships in Belgium last week, took bronze today, some 1:11 down on winner Mullen.
