Ryan Mullen, above, has scorched to the U23 National Time Trial in Co Louth this evening. Provisional results from our man at the course suggest Mullen was the second quickest of all of the riders tonight, being bested only by elite gold medal winner Michael Hutchinson; but that's provisional at the time of writing.
Last year's U23 champion Conor Dunne was second and the comeback man Marcus Christie was third, proving the old adage that class never fades.
