Grace Young and Richie Maes have scored another double win for All human-VeloRevolution, this time at Drombane Cross and just a week after they also won the elite women's and men's races at De Ronde Cross in Co Cork.

Today's racing was 'Round 3' of the Munster Cyclocross League and was promoted by Upperchurch Drombane CC at Drombane, Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Young was well clear in her event, to win alone, in a repeat of her performance Leeside last weekend. Maes took victory in the men's race by an impressive two minutes.

Maes took the lead very early and on the first lap of eight he was already well ahead. He went out onto the second lap 20 seconds up on the nearest chasers and from that point he continued to tap out a relentless pace out front.

However, on the fifth lap he suffered a puncture. He had enough time in hand to get a change and press on towards victory, without ever giving up his lead.

The closest men to him were Richard Barry (St Finbarr's) and Trevor Woods, the All human-VeloRevolution rider who won the cyclocross Masters 50 national title last year.

Today Barry had to be content with 2nd and Woods 3rd, with Conor Hennebry (Dan Morrissey-MIG-Pactimo) 4th; all behind the flying Maes, who is now enjoying a really strong cyclocross campaign.

As well as Young winning the elite women's race today, Sam Bolger of Killarney Cycling Club emerged victorious from the junior men's race.

More to come.
