Richardson in charge after nail-biting TT in Kilkenny, Irish in top 10 | Full results

Kate Richardson (Alba Development) has taken stage 5 victory and the overall race lead by the tightest of margins at Rás na mBan. She beat Madelaine Leech (Cams Basso) by less than four tenths of a second for the 2.5km stage victory around Kilkenny castle, with Lara Gillespie (Team Ireland) 3rd at two seconds.

Race leader going into today's stage, Lieke Zeelst (Greenmount Cycling Academy), was 4th - finishing 5 seconds down on stage winner Richardson. The two riders went into the stage just five seconds apart on general classification. And today's result means Richardson has now taken the overall lead, by 0.13 of second, the margin between them in the TT.

The race was set to conclude with a criterium around Kilkenny this afternoon. Richardson now leads overall and she also holds the points and climbers classification jerseys with Amelia Tyler (Cycling Ulster) still top of the best Irish rider classification.

Aside from Gillespie taking 3rd today. her Team Ireland team mate Eve McCrystal was also in the top 10; taking 7th place at nine seconds. Another of the Team Ireland riders, Kelly Murphy, was 11th at 10 seconds while Caoimhe O'Brien (Cycling Leinster) was 12th at twelve seconds.
