Results round 3 Mondello Bikeworx Series; Mark Dowling takes it

After wins for Sean Reynolds (Team Bikeworx) and Dermot Trulock (Lucan CRC) in the opening two rounds of the Bikeworx Mondello Series, last night Mark Dowling was on the top step.

The Strata 3-VeloRevolution rider pulled clear with one of the best young riders in the country at present, Conn McDunphy (Lucan CRC).

And one they put their heads down and pooled their efforts the race was one for 3rd place for the remainder of the field.

In the end the leading duo had a very significant gap on the best of the rest. And it was Dowling who saw off his young rival for victory on the night.

Behind them, Dowling's team mate Derek Cunningham rounded out the podium just ahead of the main peloton.

And McDunphy's Lucan CRC partner in crime Trulock was 4th on the night.
