Having taken the county rider classification at the An Post Rás last month as well as two county rider stage prizes,

Ian Richardson has today shown his form against the clock just five days away from the National TT Championships in Omagh.

The UCD CC man was quickest of the field in the Noel Hammond Memorial in Co Wicklow this morning.

He covered the 32km course in a time of 45:31, just 22 seconds ahead of his former team mate Sean McKenna, now riding for Aquablue.

Rounding out the podium was Cathal O’Donovan, who is competing on the bike with great success at present as he rests from his duathlon career because of a running injury.

As well is finishing 3rd fastest, the Aquablue man took the A3 prize. The women’s prize was won by Aishling Barry (Lucan CRC).

The Kieran Hammond Trophy was awarded to Conor Murnane. The emerging Dubliner was the fastest junior in the field, taking the trophy for promoting club Orwell Wheelers.
