Results Newcastle West TT: Racing back on the road again in Ireland

Paul Kennedy has wasted no time
getting his season back on track after the unprecedented break from competitive
due to Covid19, winning the first round of the Newcastle West TT League.

Now riding with new domestic team Spellman
Dublin Port, Kennedy last night posted a time of 20:32 for the 10-mile distance
on what was a wet night for racing.

That was enough to see off his team
mate Cian Keogh by eight seconds, with Blarney CC’s Shane O’Connell in 3rd
place 28 seconds down on winner Kennedy.

claimed the women’s category, in a time of 25 minutes.

Sean Barrett of O’Leary Stone
Kanturk proved fastest junior on the night in a time of 22:18.

Brendan Brosnan of Abbeyfeale CC, a
Masters 50 rider, won the Masters category in 22:36 from Tom Barrett of O’Leary
Stone Kanturk.

Protocols were in place to minimise the risk of Covid19 infection and ensure social distancing, with no issues reported.
