
Odhrán Doogan (Caldwell Cycles) has warmed up for his first appearance at a World Road Championships, in Glasgow next week, by taking victory on home roads this evening in Co Meath.
The 19-year-old was best in the Moynalty CC Classic promoted by Moynalty Cycling Club in Co Meath this evening; going off scratch in the handicapped race for all categories and coming out in top after seven laps of a circuit based around Moynalty for a total race distance of 56.7km.
Doogan will be part of the Irish U23 men's team taking on the road race at the Worlds in Glasgow next Saturday.
