The races at the Dunsany GP panned out very differently today; bunch sprints and breakaways with three minutes advantage being the order of the day. A winner of races on the home scene for decades, John Priest has added another victory to his CV.
The Lucan CRC veteran sprinted in to retain the Dunsany GP A3 event today. He also won 12 months ago.
Priest has been in good form since the start of the season. And because he still packs a feared kick he is usually constantly in the results from one end of a season to the other.
In the early weeks of the current campaign he showed his condition with 2nd in Rás Naomh Finian. And two weeks ago he claimed the Deenside Cup.

Today at the end of the A3-Junior race at the Dunsany GP he was too quick for his rivals.
Priest got the verdict over team mate Daithí Marron. Another evergreen fastman, Colm Bracken of Kilcullen Murphy Surveys), was in 3rd place.
In the A4 race, the scenario couldn’t have been more different; a small escape group going clear and taking three minutes out of the bunch.
It came down to a fight from the three leaders at the end, with Velo Club Balrothery well represented.
It had Stano Baca and Fiach O’Shea in the breakaway, along with Ross Collins (McNally Swords CC).
At the finish Slovakian Baca got the verdict from O’Shea, with Collins rounding out the podium.
