Odhrán Doogan (Caldwell Cycles) has won the main event, of three races, at the Foyle Grand Prix in Co Donegal, the top U23 rider taking what was his first win since his impressive ride at Rás Tailteann when he wore the yellow jersey.
Doogan was up against some of the best riders in the country today in the final but simply had too much power for them at the finish; getting the better of Gareth O'Neill (Athlete Nutrition Coach HD), who ran him closest but ultimately had to be content with 2nd place.
Just one second behind the leading duo, Lindsay Watson (Powerhouse Sport) took the final place on the podium, to add to his win at the Ulster Criterium Championships midweek.
Jack Conroy (Bray Wheelers) was 4th and Darnell Moore (Caldwell Cycles) 5th, also at one second, with Luke Smith (Moynalty CC) rounding out the top six, four seconds down on winner Doogan.
