Results all categories Munster Road Race Champs, Blarney, Co Cork

The host club, Blarney CC, celebrated a home win in the elite men’s race at the Munster Road Race Championships in Co Cork yesterday when Eoin Allen came away with the gold medal. The A2 rider overcome some quality A1s in the field to win the day.

He came to the line for a two-up sprint with Conor Kissane of Killarney CC, with a delighted Allen taking the victory after both had been on the attack through most of the race.

Junior rider Patrick O’Loughlin (Panduit Carrick Wheelers) claimed 3^rd place against the elites to continue a strong season during which he has won medals on the road and track at the national championships and also been a regular on the Irish national junior team.

In the women's race, Shona Keane (Greenmount CA) claimed the Munster road race crown after she topped the podium from Carthach McCarthy (Blarney CC) and Jane Cullen (Panduit Carrick Wheelers).
