Rás na mBan | Stage 1 and general classification results

Lara Gillespie (Team Ireland) has won the opening stage of Rás na mBan 2022, from Kilkenny to Callan, ahead of Kate Richardson (Alba Development) with Jessica Finney (Cams-Basso) rounding out the podium after a sprint finish.

As there were no time bonuses on offer, the general classification heading into tomorrow's stage 2 - some 89km from Kilkenny to Inistigoe - Gillespie leads the overall standings on the same time as 19 riders who all finished on the same time today just ahead of a five-second split in the bunch.
