Rás na mBan stage 4 TT results 2017

Having romped up Mount Leinster yesterday to take the Rás na mBan stage win and race leader, Elinor Barker has won again today.

The Olympic and world champion track rider was fastest in today’s stage 4 TT. She now has this evening's crit and tomorrow's final stage to overcome.

In the 11km test today she recorded a time of 15mins 22.8secs. That was 10.4 seconds faster than Frida Knutsson (Crescent DARE).

Rounding out the podium in 3rd place was the stage winner’s Team GB team mate Mel Lowther.

Her spell in the breakaway yesterday obviously hasn’t take too much out of her as she was just 11.5 seconds down today.

Of the Irish riders, Eve McCrystal was in 7th place today at 28.6 seconds. The Garda CC rider moves up two places in the general classification to 5th with just two stages remaining.

Alice Sharpe (NCC Group-Kuota-Torelli), who is currently in the process of declaring for Ireland, came home in 9th place today at 31 seconds.

Irish national TT champion Eileen Burns, riding for Cycling Ulster, placed 12th and 45.3 seconds.

The straight out and back TT on the Waterford Road was run off in dry, blustery conditions.

The 103 riders left in the race took to the Honda start ramp for their solo ride against the watch on conventional road bikes.
