Aliyah Rafferty (Island Wheelers) was won of the big winners at the Youth National Road Championships, winning both the TT and the road race in the U16 girls category. And that TT win at the Foyle CC-promoted youth championships means the Rafferty family now holds three Irish TT titles in different age groups at the same time.
Aliyah's brothers Darren and Adam, who also began their cycling with Island Wheelers, won the U23 and junior men's TT titles on the same night on home roads in Co Tyrone in June. Darren (Hagens Berman Axeon) and Adam (Team 31 Jolly Cycles U19) have since gone on to represent Ireland at the World Championships, placing 5th and 8th in the U23 and junior TTs respectively.
Rafferty was not the only big winner at the Nationals at the weekend - full results below. A number of other cyclists also knocking it out of the park and winning both the TT and road race titles in their category.

Emer Heverin (Kinning Cycles Cycling Club) took two golds in the U14 girls category while Rian McCrystal (Bellurgan Wheelers) did the double in the U14 boys category.
Other winners included: David Gaffney (Dungarvan CC) in the U16 boys TT; Aisha Gannon (Breffni Wheelers) in the U15 girls TT; Adam Ward (VC Glendale) in the U15 boys TT; Ffion Dolan (Cuchulainn CC) in the U15 girls road race; Rory Condon (O'Leary Stone Kanturk) 16 boys road race; Jack Woods (Carlow RCC) U15 boys road race.
