Gavin Hendley of Lucan CRC won the main event at Round 5 of the Starsky CC Golden League in Corkagh Park, Dublin, last night. Hendley escaped with John Sheridan of St Tiernan's CC in a two-man move on the night and prevailed in the two-up sprint.

Ryan Byrne (Spin
the Bean Power by Coffee), who has already won a couple of rounds of the
series, rounded out the podium from Eoin Kelly (UCD Cycling Club), Fergus
Whelan (Kildare Cycling Club) and Deimantas Syvis (Unattached Leinster).

Yvonne Doran of Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club topped the women’s podium from runner-up Blanca Franco of promoting club Starsky CC and Marijke Beltman (Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club).

Also last night, in the Portadown area of Co Down, Shelbourne Orchard CC held its Armagh Crit, which was won by Aaron Parks of Banbridge CC. The winner was part of an eight-man breakaway that got clear on the night before attacking from it with about 15km to go.
