Philip Deignan put in a decent test in Italy today to move into 11th overall as the race nears an end
Philip Deignan (Unitedhealthcare) has moved up one place on the general classification after today’s time trial at the five-day Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali in Italy.
The Irishman was 41st in the 14.3km test, losing 1:13 to stage winner Adriano Malori (Lampre).
Deignan’s ride sees him move up one place from 12th to 11th ahead of tomorrow’s final stage. He is now 3:27 down on race leader Diego Ulissi (Lampre) who retained the leader’s jersey today.
